Our people
We're a talented, professional and friendly group in Paris.
We pride ourselves on our teamwork, both in the office and with clients.
Most of our lawyers are members of the Paris Bar and many are also qualified in other jurisdictions. Many have, in addition to their legal training, studied at business schools and universities in other countries. Most are fluent in French and English.
We're always looking for diverse talent and skills from around the world. We know it's fresh thinking and different ways of doing things that sets us apart and keeps us ahead.
Our people
Who are we looking for
Lawyers
We’re always looking for talented lawyers to join us in Paris.
We have opportunities for students in their final year of studying; qualified lawyers – including those who qualified overseas – with relevant experience; and professional support lawyers.
You must have a CAPA (Bar exam) and, because of the global nature of our work, speak and write English fluently. We also prefer candidates who are dual qualified: for example, someone who has studied law but also completed a business course, or someone who has studied law and also has an LLM.
But whatever your background, you must have an appetite for challenging work, a detailed understanding of the law, and the organisation and discipline to manage complex deals.
We’re looking for people who fit in with colleagues and clients. We want people who can perform well under pressure and come up with creative solutions to tough problems.
Market or industry experience is also an advantage that will set you apart.
Business services
A 24/7 global business also needs exceptional support in human resources (HR), IT, administration, finance and accounting, risk management and compliance, and marketing and business development.
More than 2,000 business services professionals make our business tick; they support our lawyers and deliver great client service.
As with our legal teams, we want only the best people to take on business services roles that are so pivotal to our success. We're always interested in hearing from people with the right skills.
In Paris, our business services team comprises high-quality professionals in a variety of roles.

Career development
Lawyers
We ask a lot but we give a lot too. We offer outstanding career development that starts when you join the firm and only stops if you leave.
We provide training that equips newly-qualified lawyers for practical work; worldwide courses on cross-border and cross-practice subjects; and regular sessions on new developments.
On-the-job coaching also plays an important part in professional development. You work with partners and associates who ensure you complement your technical skills with hands-on experience.
All our Paris lawyers attend seminars and conferences that cover legal practices in France and other jurisdictions. Most of our practice groups also have at least one residential conference a year, bringing together colleagues from all over the world.
We also run international programmes that develop team, project and client management skills, as well as business understanding. They also enable lawyers from different parts of the firm to network and develop international working relationships.
Business services
We make sure that everyone supporting our fee-earners receives a comprehensive range of personal and professional development.
We've designed a series of skills workshops to develop capabilities such as influencing and presentation skills, effective writing, team leadership, management development, facilitation skills and coaching.
Our tailored development programmes and activities will help you progress your career by building on your existing strengths to meet your development needs.
They are delivered globally to help colleagues network and work across the firm's worldwide network.
