About Nariné Atamian
Nariné is a senior financial services associate in our New York office who works with bank and nonbank financial institutions on regulatory, transactional and enforcement matters. She advises clients on a wide range of bank regulatory matters, with particular experience advising on the Bank Holding Company Act, Federal Deposit Insurance Act, Home Owners’ Loan Act, and Dodd-Frank Act.
She has particular experience advising financial institutions on bank and trust chartering, structuring, licensing, permissibility, and control issues. She frequently assists clients on matters relating to operational resilience, resolution and recovery planning, corporate governance, and evolving financial regulatory subjects, such as ESG and AI.
Nariné has worked in the bank regulatory legal groups at two large foreign banks.
Recent work
Nariné’s recent experience includes advising:
- global financial institutions and regional banks on all stages of 165(d), IDI and other resolution planning, including drafting plan submissions;
- global and regional financial institutions on the establishment of de novo banks, joint ventures and partnership, including with respect to chartering, licensing, and M&A matters;
- several national banking organizations on governance, risk management and other supervisory matters before federal and state regulators; and
- financial institutions on compliance with Federal Reserve, FDIC, OCC, and NYSDFS laws and regulations, including as relates to prudential standards, changes in control, third-party risk management, and foreign and cross-border activities.
