About Brendan Clemente
Brendan is an Associate in our antitrust, competition, and trade practice based in Washington, D.C. He assists clients with antitrust matters and merger review.
Prior to joining Freshfields, Brendan clerked for the Honorable Sul Ozerden at the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi, and the Honorable Gerald B. Tjoflat of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit in Jacksonville, Florida. Before clerking, Brendan interned at the Department of Justice within the Antitrust Division and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission within its Division of Enforcement.
At Duke University School of Law, Brendan served as a board member and Dean’s Cup coordinator of Moot Court, as Lead Articles Editor of Law and Contemporary Problems, and as Managing Editor of Duke Law and Technology Review. He also participated in the Appellate Litigation Clinic and was a judicial extern for the Honorable Magistrate Judge Robert T. Numbers, II, of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina.
Prior to law school, Brendan interned in the UK Parliament during a semester abroad and worked at Epic Systems as a Project Manager.
