Julia is a senior associate in leveraged finance in our global transactions group, based in our London office.

Julia has a broad range of experience and has advised on a number of leveraged, corporate finance, real estate finance and restructuring transactions. Julia specialises in acting for private equity sponsors and financial investors on leveraged finance acquisitions and refinancings.

Recent work

• Advising Cinven’s portfolio company, Omnes, on the financing of several add-on acquisitions and the amendment and extension of Omnes’ existing financing arrangements, comprising first and second lien loans and notes.
• Advising Cinven’s portfolio company, Pronet, on its refinancing.
• Advising TPG on the financing for its voluntary takeover offer for Intervest Warehouses and Offices, a Belgian listed and regulated REIT.
• Advising Cazoo in relation to its restructuring and the UK aspects of its $200m convertible bond refinancing.
• Advising OMERS Infrastructure on its financing in relation to the potential acquisition of a majority stake in Altice’s French data center business.
• Advising Cinven and Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan Board on the financing for the combination of group.ONE and the dogado group.
• Advising Bain Capital and Cinven on the €2.4bn equivalent loan and high yield bond financing of their acquisition of Arxada (formerly Lonza Specialty Ingredients) and subsequent loan and bond financings of various add-on acquisitions.
• Advising Cinven and its portfolio company, Viridium, on the financing in respect of Viridium’s acquisitions of Entis Lebensversicherung AG (formerly Protektor Lebensversicherungs-AG) and Proxalto Lebensversicherung AG (formerly Generali Lebensversicherung AG) and its refinancing and dividend recapitalisation.
• Advising Cinven on the financing for its acquisition of Omnes (formerly INSEEC U.).
• Advising Cinven on the financing for its acquisition of group.ONE (formerly One.com), subsequent financings of various add-on acquisitions and the refinancing of group.ONE’s existing financing.
• Advising Cinven on the financing for its acquisition of Partner in Pet Food and subsequent financings of various add-on acquisitions.
• Advising Cinven on the financing for its acquisition of Planasa and subsequent financing of an add-on acquisition.
• Advising Cinven and its portfolio company, Chryso, on the financing in respect of Chryso’s acquisition of Cemexa.
• Advising Centerbridge’s portfolio company, Canopius, in relation to its Lloyd’s letter of credit facility.
• Advising Charterhouse Capital Partners on the financing of its investment in Lane Clark & Peacock LLP.
• Advising Springer Nature on the repricing and amendment and extension of its existing financing and recent refinancing.
• Advising TPG on the refinancing of €1.4bn of debt across four facilities and 12 jurisdictions for its P3 logistics platform and its subsequent sale to GIC.
• Advising TPG on its refinancing and reorganisation of the a&o Hotels and Hostels group.
• Advising Greenyard Foods on the refinancing of its existing financing arrangements.
• Advising Bakkavor on its refinancing of its existing financing.
• Advising Permira Debt Managers in connection with the amendment of a number of private direct lending facilities.
• Advising Permira Debt Managers, Avenue Capital and Pemberton on the restructuring of Delsey group.
• Advising JP Morgan as administrative agent, letter of credit issuer and lender in connection with the restructuring of Peabody Energy Corporation’s facility and notes.
