About Richard Layther
Richard is an associate in the restructuring and insolvency team in our global transactions group. Richard has experience acting for lenders, borrowers, administrators and other key stakeholders in the restructuring and insolvency market.
Richard has also spent six months in our Paris finance team acting on corporate finance and leverage finance transactions.
Recent work
- Advising ED&F Man, the global agricultural commodities group, on its $US 1.5bn cross-border refinancing, implemented by a UK restructuring plan.
- Advising Brighthouse, a large rent-to-own business, on its entry into administration and the subsequent wind-down of the group (incl. compulsory liquidations).
- Advising the RCF lenders to Virgin Atlantic with respect to its restructuring by way of a restructuring plan.
- Advising the lenders under a €4.5bn unsecured facilities agreement with respect to the restructuring of the AccorInvest group.
