Leon is Principle Associate in the finance practice of our global transactions group. He specialises in the area of restructuring and capital solutions.
He advises corporates and lenders in the context of out-of court and in-court financial restructurings and refinancings as well as distressed situations.
Leon speaks German and English.
Recent work
- Acting for Credit Suisse on its exposure to the Greensill Group.
- Advising the ad hoc group of noteholders in relation to the EUR 830m consensual restructuring of the Takko Fashion group.
- Advising the Class A Committee of bondholders on the sale of both the Breeze Two Energy and Breeze Three Energy windfarm portfolios to Statkraft.
- Advising the members of the ad hoc committee of lenders on the financial restructuring of the French hospitality group AccorInvest.
- Advising the trustee of the automotive supplier IFA on the sale of the IFA group and on all related legal aspects of the trusteeship.
- Advising the TUI group on a consent soliticitation and amendment of its bond terms and conditions in relation to its EUR 300m senior notes.

- Master of Laws (LL.M.) – Universidade Católica Portuguesa, Portugal, and Cornell University, USA
- Legal clerkship (Rechtsreferendariat), Higher Regional Court (Oberlandesgericht) of Hamburg, including stages in Berlin, Brussels and Sydney
