About Jérôme Richter
Jérôme is an associate in our Frankfurt office. He specializes in international commercial and investment arbitration as well as civil litigation. He is a German qualified lawyer, who studied in Berlin, Paris, Beijing and Singapore. Prior to joining Freshfields, he was a trainee at the EU General Court, the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, and the European Commission. He is fluent in German, English, French and Spanish.
Recent work
- Advising an aviation company in a dispute with a supplier related to a contract for the supply of software;
- Advising a major German industrial company on issues related to the recognition and enforcement of a foreign judgment in Germany;
- Advising a major Austrian construction company and its joint venture partner in an ICSID arbitration against the Federal Republic of Germany under the ECT in connection with Germany’s changes in the offshore renewable energy regime;
- Representing a strategic investor in the elderly care industry in a DIS arbitration involving claims
for fraudulent inducement; - Defending a major tech company in civil litigation proceedings related to data protection law.
