About Bethan Rodden

Bethan is a corporate senior associate and a member of the firm’s financial institutions team.

Bethan is a senior associate in the Global Transactions department in London, advising on public and private M&A, corporate reorganisations, corporate governance and disclosure obligations for a range of listed and unlisted clients. During her time at Freshfields, Bethan has also spent time on secondment to the M&A Legal team at Barclays.

  • Advising The Co-operative Bank Holdings p.l.c on its £780 million acquisition by Coventry Building Society
  • Advising SSE on the £1.465 billion sale of a 25% stake in its electricity transmission network business to Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan
  • Advising London Stock Exchange Group plc on its €4.325 billion disposal of the Borsa Italiana Group 
  • Advising London Stock Exchange Group plc on its acquisition of Refinitiv in an all-share transaction for a total enterprise value of $27 billion
  • Advising CVC Capital Partners on its acquisition of Away Resorts, Aria Resorts and Coppergreen Leisure Resorts
  • Advising Fidelity International on the demerger and spin-off of its “Eight Roads” division
  • Advising Barclays as sponsor on the acquisition of the Adhesives business of Eastman by Synthomer
  • Advising FTSE 100 companies on corporate governance and shareholder activism issues, including in relation to AGMs, Annual Reports and disclosure obligations
