Katharina is a principal associate in our antitrust, competition and trade practice group in Berlin.
She specialises in European and German competition law, especially in cartel cases and internal investigations as well as in merger control and dominance/compliance cases.
She has worked on wide range of international mandates involving international, cross-office teams. She has specific experience in the energy/infrastructure, consumer products, medical products and automobile sectors.
Recent clients include ABB, AB InBev, EQT/Sivantos, a global technology company, Mars, Providence Equity Partners/Ambassador Theatre Group, and a global automobile group.
Katharina speaks German and English.
Recent work
Advising ABB on multijurisdictional leniency applications relating to the gas-insulated switchgear, power transformers and other power products/power systems cartel investigations; advising ABB on general competition law matters/compliance;
Advising AB InBev on the German beer cartel investigations (both horizontal and vertical);
Advising EQT/Sivantos on their global joint venture with the hearing aid manufacturer Widex;
Advising a global technology company in relation to antitrust proceedings before the European Commission;
Advising Mars in cartel investigations alleging anticompetitive information exchange and resale price maintenance; advising Mars on its acquisition of Wrigley; advising Mars on general competition law matters/compliance;
Advising Providence Equity Partners/Ambassador Theatre Group on their acquisition of the German Entertainment Group Mehr!;
Advising a global automobile group in relation to the Diesel emissions issue.
