About Marianne Wood
Marianne is an associate in our London antitrust, competition and trade group. Her practice covers all aspects of EU and UK competition law, and in particular cross-border merger control, antitrust investigations, and EU State aid procedures.
Marianne has broad jurisidctional expertise having also spent time in Freshfields' offices in Brussels and Washington, D.C.
Before joining the firm, Marianne completed traineeships at the European Parliament and the Council of Europe, and worked as a policy advisor in the Scottish Government.
She speaks English and French.

2023: University of Oxford, Bachelor of Civil Law (BCL)
2021: King's College London, PgDip in EU Competition Law (Prize for Best Overall Mark)
2017: BPP University, Graduate Diploma in Law & Legal Practice Course
2015: University of Glasgow, LL.B Law with French
Qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales in 2019.
