On May 4 from 12-12:50 pm CET , during the eight edition of the Open de Arbitraje 2022, we are organizing a roundtable titled "Economic and political sanctions: practical implications for investment and commercial arbitration" in which we will consider the different types of economic and political sanctions imposed against Russia and how they may impact arbitration proceedings and the measures that may be adopted to address them.
Noiana Marigo, partner and head of Freshfields' international arbitration group for the Americas, will discuss what kind of disputes are expected to arise in the future as a result of these sanction with Ana Serra Moura, Deputy Secretary General of the ICC Arbitration Court, Mario Martinez Muñoz, Corporate & Investment Banking Legal Services Director at BBVA, and Adam Smith, Partner at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher & former OFAC official. Lluis Paradell, Counsel, will moderate the roundtable.
