In this Listed Company Academy, which was held on 23 May 2024, we looked at the following corporate governance hot topics:
- Trends in the 2024 AGM season, with a particular focus on allotment, disapplication of pre-emption rights and remuneration trends;
- The FCA’s consultation on its proposed amendments to its enforcement policy;
- The FRC’s Stewardship Code consultation;
- The updates to the UK Listing Rules, in particular to independence, controlling shareholders, significant and related party transactions, and to create a new single listing category; and
- Supply chain updates, including the EU's Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) and the EU’s Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDD).
