Freshfields bolsters recruitment as client demand grows
As our business grows, the US talent pipeline remains a key priority for Freshfields as we continue to provide exceptional client service with the highest-caliber teams. We remain fully committed to holding this year’s summer associate and fall recruitment programs, adapting the programs as necessary in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.Our summer associate program has been delayed from our usual May through July timeframe to now run from mid-June through August. We plan to offer both virtual and in-person experiences, taking into account the safety and well-being of the participants as well as the guidance and directives in place in New York and Washington, DC.
We remain committed to investing in our talent and will not alter the program’s compensation structure that was communicated to our summer associates. We look forward to providing them with an engaging experience at Freshfields, whether through virtual or in-person programming, to learn from our talented and knowledgeable lawyers on complex projects across the breadth of our practices.
We also plan to welcome a full new class of first-year associates to Freshfields in the fall of 2020, following their completion of the postponed Bar Exam.
In addition to our summer associate and fall programming, we continue to seek and welcome top lateral talent in the market and have onboarded several new hires during the past month, with plans for additional joiners to begin over the next several weeks.
We are committed to providing our new hires with the optimal technical support and set-up to allow them to work remotely and stay safe during these unprecedented times, ensuring that their onboarding experience is as seamless as possible. We are ambitious about the growth of our business and look forward to welcoming new colleagues to the firm.
