Freshfields advises Baloise on selling FRIDAY’s portfolio to Allianz

Global law firm Freshfields has advised Baloise Group on selling its portfolio holdings in digital insurer FRIDAY to Allianz Direct Versicherungs-AG. Allianz is acquiring the portfolios in Germany and France with a total premium volume of around CHF 50 million. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price. The transaction is subject to approval by the competent supervisory authority. The deal is expected to be closed in mid-2025. Luxembourg law support was provided by Arendt & Medernach.
