Freshfields advises PGGM on strategic investment in Penta Infra

Global law firm Freshfields has advised PGGM, a leading Dutch pension investor, on its acquisition of a 49% stake in Penta Infra, a pan-European data centre platform.

This transaction brings PGGM alongside Photon Capital, the existing shareholder of Penta Infra, to support the company’s growth plans in the rapidly growing digital infrastructure market. Penta Infra specialises in developing and operating sustainable and high-quality data centres across Europe, serving small- and medium-sized enterprises and championing sustainability initiatives such as utilising 100% green electricity and reusing residual heat. With the involvement of both Photon Capital and PGGM, Penta Infra believes to be well positioned to realise its growth ambitions in the coming years.
