Freshfields advises BIOTRONIK on sale of VI Business to Teleflex
Global law firm Freshfields is advising BIOTRONIK Group, a leading global medical technology company based in Berlin, Germany, on an agreement to divest its Vascular Intervention (‘VI’) division to Teleflex Incorporated, a global provider of medical technologies. The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions and is expected to close before the end of the third quarter of 2025.
BIOTRONIK products and offerings save and improve the lives of millions suffering from heart and blood vessel diseases as well as chronic pain. Teleflex, based in Wayne, PA and listed on the New York Stock Exchange, has a diverse portfolio, including solutions in the fields of vascular and interventional access, surgical, anesthesia, cardiac care, urology, emergency medicine and respiratory care. BIOTRONIK’s Vascular Intervention business will complement Teleflex’s interventional business, enabling both companies to deliver enhanced solutions to global markets.
